• We are a truly unique agency, born out of a collective of illustrators, designers and artists with a passion for creative culture. We then embraced the digital world to help build and communicate brands that connect with their target markets.

  We call ourselves a collective, because our strength lies in our ability to make connections. We don’t do networking… we are a network. We have a strong, award-winning in-house team of designers, technologists, illustrators and social media experts, which over the years has developed into a global network of creative talent. We bring together the most original creatives, inspired artists and tireless coders. You get the right minds on the job at hand.

  Mix all this together with dj’s and vj’s at one of our Subism Live nights and we are the Subism Collective.

• What we do

  We are a creative and digital agency that offers design, print, websites and mobile media to clients and larger agencies. Our processes guide us but don't contain us, so you'll get creative concepts delivered with business efficiency, on time and on budget.

  Our passion for creativity has seen us handle and thrive on a variety of project briefs. We are as comfortable art directing and producing interior murals for Mexican food chain Chilango’s as we are producing online campaigns for the likes of Aviva and BT, or making chart topping iPhone apps like Artpad.

  We’ve also outputted murals for Red Bull, large cross-media campaigns for East Midlands Airport, brand and ident for AtJazz Records and multiple websites for the GF Tomlinson Group.

• Approach and ethos

  Listen, understand, plan, play and create. That's it.

  Whether it's an app, website, or interior art installation, our process of listening and creating follows the same pattern. We believe that the organic nature of the creative process together with our structured business systems is the key to success.

  Our connections with other creatives mean we have a network of professionals who are able to fit into our team and work with us, depending on the project. This flexible nature means we're able to take on a really diverse range of work. 

  When we're not busy building the stuff that makes your business look good, we enjoy kicking back at the Subism Live events. We believe in giving back too, and nurturing the creative and digital communities with a good old-fashioned knees-up featuring live art and digital media.

• History

  Subism started as an idea to discover and showcase new artists. In 2007 we launched our website selling limited edition and original artwork, as well as putting on Subism Live art events and gallery shows. These gave our artists a platform from which to shine, and created a buzz around Subism. 

  We attracted attention, and soon developed into a professional creative agency. We have evolved into an established collective of artists, designers and creative talent, with a huge skillset. 

  In 2012 Subism merged with web and app development company Dropstone Digital to offer a complete creative and digital service.
