RedLaw
Bringing passion, vibrancy and dynamism to the identity
The London-based legal recruitment agency RedLaw already had a brand that was known for its trustworthiness and professionalism. They also had a site that did what it was meant to. But they wanted to bring a little more passion, vibrancy and dynamism to the identity, and they wanted those qualities to inspire the lawyers and legal firms that RedLaw works with.
Subism was asked to re-evaluate their branding, apply a new identity system and activate it via various touch points – online, social media and at live events within the industry. The legal sector sometimes has a staid feel to it, and a key challenge was to put people at the centre of RedLaw’s new look, with some extra personality.
Our approach
Shaping the brand and the experience
On projects like this, we like to work collaboratively with our clients and really get to understand how they see themselves, and how others see them. The core to our approach was a branding and UX workshop where we explored the RedLaw brand and how it needed to develop. Through the workshop, we were able to identify five main groups of legal professionals and determine how we wanted them to feel when they came into contact with the RedLaw brand.
Mood boards were then developed around the key brand emotions. We created user personas to set out the needs and motivations of applicants and clients, and designed interactive wireframes with carefully positioned calls to action to drive engagement. The new site integrates with Troysoft, the dominant CRM used in the recruitment industry.
Making a difference
Gaining greater understanding
The branding work Subism has done with RedLaw has given them a new perspective on their business and the audiences they are aiming for. By seeking clarity on who their customers are and how we needed to approach them, we’ve helped RedLaw to interact better with lawyers who are looking for their next challenge, and the companies who want to hire them. It’s always special when you can see something you’ve created actually working to improve your client’s business.
The outcome
And the verdict is…
Success! RedLaw were lovely to work with, and since launching their new site the company have seen an huge increase in applications.
